How long do the heat pads last?
The heat pads will last up to seven hours. Some bigger heat pads will last for 12 hours.
Where can I get refills?
Disposable heat pads can be found in most outdoor stores, hardware stores, and some drugstores, or can be ordered directly online from hotscarves.com
What are they made of?
The heat pads are made of iron, water, activated carbon and salt.
Are they environmentally friendly?
The disposable heat pads are environmentally friendly.
How hot do they get?
The average heat is 135 F.
Do you have reusable heat pads?
A reusable heat pad is available online. (see resources) This heat lasts about 45 minutes. To reactivate reusable pads put them in boiling water for 3 minutes.
Can I burn myself?
If used correctly, in the fleece pocket, no burning will occur.
How does the heat work?
After you take the heat pad out of the plastic packaging the air simply activates the heat.
Do I need a microwave?
No, you do not need a microwave. These heat pads are air activated. Open the package and the heat will take a few minutes to reach maximum temperature.
Could the pads fall out of the scarf?
The heat pads will not fall out of the scarf as the pockets are simply designed to keep the pad tucked in.
What is the pocket dimension and how many pockets are in a scarf?
There are four pockets per scarf each 3.5" X 4".
Will the fleece melt from the heat?
Fleece will not melt from the heat pads. If the fleece is trapped or next to a hard surface with the heat pads activated some condensation may occur.

The scarves are made in Vancouver British Columbia.
